PROMPTO’S NEW TATTOOSIn the Final Fantasy XV Window Edition Demo, Prompto has some new tattoos… but only on one very specific texture. It only shows up with his Casual Outfit when the quality is set to “Highest” or better. If you change his clothes, it goes away. Not because it’s hidden, but because it literally isn’t in the textures. Below the readmore is a more detailed explanation! This is a screenshot of the program I’m using to view the textures. (If you can’t read it, it’s okay.) All the individual characters have their own folders, and there’s a subfolder for each outfit. Each set of textures comes in three sizes to support different quality/resolution.The character’s head is its own model, which is how you can use the same clothes on either younger or older version of the character. This is Prompto’s head/arm model that is universal across all his outfits. You’ll notice it doesn’t include the hands, but it has the arms:This is both of his arms, side by side. One arm has his barcode tattoo. All of the hand textures are in the outfit subfolders (It’s like that for all the characters.) Here’s the hand texture from his basic outfit:It’s the top and bottom of his hand. Only one hand is needed, because the texture is mirrored for his other hand. For his basic outfit, low-, medium-, and high-quality textures all look exactly the same (except in different sizes.) Same thing for his Kingsglaive uniform, which is also in the demo. Here’s the hand from his casual outfit:The highest-quality texture for the Casual Outfit is the only place this tattoo appears, so if you have your demo settings to “High” or lower, you won’t see it. -- source link
