maximalist-marrs:shenanigansintime:maximalist-marrs:notyoujamie:I can’t remember if I’m lying about my age, that’s how old I am.Ok. Real question. When you’re hopping back and forward through all of space and time, how do you even begin to track how old you are? Each planet in the universe has a different length day and year. Is there like a little calendar in the tardis that somehow keeps track? If he goes back in time verses forward in time to what it would be on gallifry in whatever the present is, does that effect how he calculates his age? How could he even possibly guess how old he is, is what I’m saying. I see the inconsistencies and see the suggestion that he’s too old to remember. But I honestly think unless there is specific time lord magic that helps, he can’t begin to know. You just kinda go with what ever you’re feeling“It’s less about how many times I’ve circled the sun, and more the screaming of my knees.”Gotcha. I’m like that in this space and time.I feel like the Tardis should be able to keep track of how long the Doctor has personally been time travelling, except 1) as a 10+-dimensional being, she doesn’t experience time linearly the way the Doctor does and 2) a (vague spoilers) recent reveal to 13 indicated that there’s more in her past than she knows about… -- source link
