So much of our health relies on a clean environment. These people do some of the most important work in society. If we learned in dirty public environments full of garbage, we’d all be sick. I cannot thank these people enough for the valuable work that they do. Shout out to all garbage collectors, janitors and housekeepers! Thanks sanitation workers, we love you folks. My father had this over his workbench when I was a kid. Remember when the garbagemen in NYC went on strike and within like 3 days NYC was overrun with trash, the rats were LITERALLY swarming the streets, and it was impossible to navigate the sidewalks? I do… I remember. I have a proposal: switch the names of pickup artists and garbage men.The people who pick up our waste are entitled to some term that indicates we respect their work, and although “technician” is more technically accurate, “artist” is something that we theoretically respect.Meanwhile, the people who insult women they don’t know in an endless quest for mediocre sex … are generally man-garbage. -- source link
