The video opens with an alien rider on horseback, on his way to a bar built inside a cave. There he fancies a pretty female, shoots her boyfriend, and kidnaps her; they then ride off into the sunset together. Romantic.A few years ago I visited the location where the video was filmed (I’m funny that way): Durdle Door in Dorset, England (last image). My dog—a walking, barking pop music encyclopedia —accompanied me, and revealed that Tears for Fears also recorded a video here: “Shout”, also released in November 1984.
