Outdoor cats, and especially feral/stray cats, are actually considered a “wildlife menace” because of the amount they kill and have even driven 33 species of birds, mammals, and reptiles extinct. It doesn’t happen often, but Environmental Conservation Officers actually have the right to kill feral cats on sight because of the damage they do. Outdoor cats have been found to only be a third as destructive as strays, but still very destructive nonetheless. Be careful with your kitties! -- source link
