cat-harman92:coke-hyena:shakespork:dicapitoe:scipunk63:rochestersfirstwife:butu-na-moyi:Can y'all not just buy foundation IN YOUR OWN SHADES. “Black” isn’t a fictional aesthetic. Jesus fucking ChristWhat the fuck??? Why would you do this???? Also some of y’all need to let your skin fucking breathe Jesus jucking Christ This is kinda horrifying to look at. You can practically feel the skin damage. They deserve the skin damage. you know that Instagrammer Feel when u go thru 3 different ethnicities while contouringAriana grandes impact on white girls This is absolutely real. I was in Ulta the other day and literally found the LAST tube of my shade (I’m half Trinidadian ie West Indian) and merely brushed it off as it being my first time being around other brown girls (living in Los Angeles). When I went up and joked with the brown cashier she, without missing a beat, goes “no it’s cause white girls use our stuff to contour and self tan.” And I'mma be real. I was fucking pissed. Do you know how hard it was growing up trying to find anything in a darker shade than fucking pink. I had white relatives chastise my mom for buying us “expensive” cosmetics growing up, but you know what? We couldn’t go to the drug store and buy foundation or powder. You HAD to go to a department store or a makeup store. And it wasn’t often, and even then it was hard to find the correct undertone. All of this insta beauty shit is fucking garbage because brown and black girls (like myself) were teased incessantly for everything white girls are buying to look a certain way. Big butts, big brows, tan skin, big lips. And what’s sadder is in ten years when this is no longer a trend they’ll just revert back. They get to choose when these things are desirable. I see you white women. I fucking see you. -- source link
