155lbs Lunges for 4 sets if 6. Definitely a PR. Not part of my program but I felt like giving it a shot after a Power Leg day. Ladies do NOT be afraid to lift heavy! Let me tell you why! 1. It builds your confidence. Seeing your weights go up and hitting new Personal Records is so rewarding. It gives you new challenges and goals to work toward and thus builds confidence and strength you never thought imaginable 2. Your health. Weight training is CRUCIAL for women as it’s an aid in preventing and slowing down many diseases such as osteoporosis, arthritis and more. It strengthens your skeletal system, builds lean muscle to protect it )as well as the rest of your body) and increases your metabolism. And that’s just the physical stuff! 3. IT HELPS YOU LEAN DOWN. This is key. Heavy weight training does NOT make you bulky (thats what higher rep ranges and a surplus of calories are for). Look at Powerlifters as an example. They lift weight equal to smart cars and yet walk around at a lean but solid weight. Lifting heavy helps build LEAN muscle, create curves and speed up your metabolism. Aka…speed up your metabolism!
