typhlonectes:Hamerkop (Scopus umbretta), found in Sub-Saharan Africa and western Arabian PeninsulaThe taxonomy of this bird has been in dispute for quite some time, but is now believed to be in the Pelicaniformes (probably most closely related to the Shoebill). Usually seen in and around water, but also found in nearby grasslands, they feed on a wide variety of small vertebrates and large invertebrates. They stand at about 56 cm (22 in) high.Photos: Charles J Sharp CC and Sebastian Ritter CC -- source link
