icansewangelsmisterbubbles:This should be all the pictures of the clothing…Okays so the top, I made both the top and the skirt from the large chunk of red material I got, I coped a large top I had to get a pattern making it deliberately baggy. I then cut the correct shoulder so it fell loose, making sure I got it right by the reference pictures. I took some black material, cotton the same as my top, and folded into a long ribbon to line the top, keeping the edges neat. Once it was all sewn together I made the skull and shoulder patch out of doubled up white cotton and drew on the details as well as embroidering them on with my sewing machine.Same with the skirt, I copied the pattern of a pleated skirt and got it to fit me exactly for comfort. Once it was all fixed with hooks and eyes above the split, I got some grey and yellow material to do her little smiley face and patches on the back. A little highlighting here and there and it was done. The waist coat I bought, just a plain denim one I found online and took the waist in to fit me. I then made another skull out of doubled up white material and fixed it to the back and embroidered on the details. The hazard sign was some yellow material and black embroidery thread. The shoulder patches were black material cut to shape and some ribbon for her gold stripes. Now the leggings, and the main reason I hate lycra. Miss-Tea cosplay shared her secret for leggings with me and the trick is this. You pin the sections while they are on your legs and butt and sew them to size, pulling all the time through the machine to maintain the stretch. It’s pretty time consuming and annoying believe me. The you have to cut out her patches and sew the edges to prevent ripping and fraying. A little cell shading and crumpling behind the knees and voilà! You have Gaige’s tights in the proper size stripes. (Use reference carefully)The collar, which I have no good pictures off was a leather collar I got from a goth shop and hid the buckle around the back, I then hot glued bolts to it, and a plastic string that remained in the square shape hers does. I then folded the correct colour foam around that and glued them on to complete it. All I had to do them was highlight the edges. You should also draw around the plaster before you stick it to your face XD it gives a great effect :)Again I hope this has been helpful and feel free to let me know if I missed anything :D Happy cosplaying -- source link
