moorfields: My green witch spell jar for a prosperous 2018! After a long, hard year in 2017 I decided to start the new year off with a little magic and try my hand at a new year spell jar for luck. The night of January 1st had the first full moon of the year, so it was a perfect time to charge up some moon water for use in the spell jar. All of the natural items (soil, leaves and herbs, etc.) were taken from my garden, and anything else came from my kitchen. The contents of my jar include: holly - for protection and luck lavender- to heal my body and mind in the coming year thyme- for courage and positive thinking rosemary - to clear the mind soil from my garden - to ground me to my home and connect me with nature pine needles - to cleanse negative energy and to symbolise rejuvenation, a fitting symbol of the new year for me. honey- to make the new year sweet and to enhance the effects of the other ingredients sugar - for an extra boost of sweetness and positivity! sea salt- for purification a new year sigil my positive intentions for the new year, rolled up into little scrolls. full moon water from the first full moon of the year When picking the ingredients for my jar, I wanted ones that represented my intent to be one with nature this coming year. The soil and plants from my garden I chose for both their magical properties and also to ground me to my garden and to nature. I also made sure to include at least one representation of each of the elements. Pine needles for air, holly for fire, full moon charged water for water, and soil for earth. I finally sealed the jar with white wax for peace, cleansing and purity, and green thread for luck and prosperity. I hope you enjoyed reading about my new year spell jar, I hope 2018 brings you peace, happiness and prosperity. I’ll answer any magical questions to the best of my abilities, so feel free to drop me a message with any questions. moorfields x -- source link
