I wish to take a brief break from my workday to make plain my stance on the possums: I am for them. When people call them “ugly” I feel like that’s a sign those people don’t understand, like, the universe. Possums are tremendous creatures with incredible jaws and they walk by night seeking adventure and trash and the possum’s trash diet is sane and efficient and animals with sane efficient diets, they are my favorite of the animals, shout out to the vulture, my brother atop the disguised cell towerlet it be said of John Darnielle at his funeral, may that day be many years from now, that he was on the side of the noble possum forever and had even contemplated a possum tattoo and who’s to say that he won’t have one by then -- source link
