frantzfandom:just-spooking-around:thegeekcritique:I’m BatmanRemember in Kill Bill Vol. 2, when Bill goes on and on about Superman and how Clark Kent is his parody of humanity? Well, besides showing how little he actually gets Superman, this description is actually Batman, to a T. Bruce Wayne isn’t Batman, it’s that Batman is Bruce Wayne. Bruce is a parody, the most over-the-top playboy in the upper levels of a city full of over-the-top people. When he stops being Batman, he stops being a part of the city all together, Bruce Wayne all but disappears from the society he was so much a part of, because without Batman there doesn’t need to be a Bruce Wayne to hide behind. Clark Kent isn’t Superman’s mask, but Bruce Wayne is Batman’s. If this were the kind of Batman we saw more of in movies, I might actually care about a movie Batman.thank youwhat bill was saying is, super man was born the way he was… we can all agree that the loss of bruce’s parents made him batman. that’s what bill was talking about… but hey, cool story fam -- source link
