perfectlymarilynmonroe: Ed Feingersh shot Marilyn Monroe in New York City during the last week of March in 1955. She allowed him to follow her around the city, capturing her “New York” lifestyle and new life, for a spread in Redbook magazine’s July issue. He photographed her at the Ambassador hotel - in an out - gazing down at the city she loved so much. He shot beautiful candids of her shopping at Elizabeth Arden, at Costello’s restaurant, and (staged) photographs of her in the subway below Grand Central Station. He shot her gripping her favorite perfume, Chanel No. 5, and at the opening to Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. He also accompanied her to Madison Square Garden for her appearance at the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus, which was to aid the Arthritis and Rheumatism Foundation. -- source link
