@bohemianbluerhapsody First of all, what makes you assume I’m “abled”? I suffer from a chronic illness that regularly causes me pain so bad that I vomit. I also feel weak and dizzy a lot of the time and have trouble with eating and digesting food. I look normal and people have treated me like a liar plenty of times. so in that way, I empathize with you. Maybe you should extend strangers the empathy that you wish others would extend to you, ie, don’t assume that everyone is healthy? Maybe it’s not safe, or kind, to assume that? Second, why does my post cause you such anger and frustration? Can’t a person have more than one concern in life? Am I allowed to care about the use of this word while also caring about other things? By your logic, I shouldn’t bother doing just about anything because other things in life exist. Third, I wonder if you’re aware of the irony of posting a super angry reply to my post and at the same time accuse me of being absurd for being annoyed about the whole usage of pussy/pusillanimous? If I’m absurd or worthy of insult for posting my post, aren’t you doubly absurd for being so angry about my post? Because really, which is sillier: being angry about a lingering sexist micro-aggression in society, or being angry about a post you see on Tumblr? -- source link
