‘Everybody’s Watching The Moon’ - acrylic, oil, graphite, gesso, gloss medium, matt medium, collage, charcoal, embroidered patch on custom panel This piece had a lot of reference points to what I wanted to include and base the narrative on. I have a thing where after painting a quite exact, specific piece, then I want to paint a looser oil piece, and then a more abstract, experimental piece and so on to give my art brain a bit of space to explore everything i want to do . I love mid century design and architecture and space and wanted this idea of a mid century community all waiting for the space landing and wanted lots of texture reminiscent of the moon . There’s scraped in messages and shapes and a message to the current world. With an embroidered patch on the back to match the concept. https://www.instagram.com/p/CIi-F4FBYup/?igshid=6zgibh3qog81 -- source link
