3.08 Think Lovely ThoughtsWell! Things happened! And it’s not even the mid-season finale! I thought we would spend a couple of episodes for Operation Henry to stumble around Pan’s compound and figure out where he took Henry. Or for Pan to convince Henry to give him his heart. But no! All of that and more happened in a span of one hour!Tink was basically rendered useless because sneaking into Pan’s secret hiding place turned out to be unnecessary and also, very easy. Considering there were a handful of them trying to get in undetected. But Peter Pan already took Henry away to Skull Rock so now they have to revamp their rescue plan. They very wisely split up - Hook and Tink stayed with the unconscious Lost Boys, Charming and Snow went back to get more magic water for Charming (Rumple insists he can make an elixir. Of course he can), and Henry’s trio of parents + grandfather went after him thanks to intel from Wendy. It would be a lot easier to get things done with fewer people. Besides, 3 of the 4 know magic.Speaking of magic, more than the usual number of people made use of it this episode. Peter Pan used it to keep shadow-ed people out and Regina used it to render the Lost Boys asleep. Emma used it to help Regina hide their shadows so they can breach the protection spell (apparently shadows from torches don’t count. Whatevs). And Henry (Henry!) used it - or was granted temporary use - to rip out his own heart and give it to Pan.Uh, yeah. That happened. All it took was for Pan to show Henry the giant hourglass (lolz) and the very little amount of sand left in the top half to convince him. Not even his unique set of parents were able to stop him from ‘saving magic.’ So now Henry’s not-quite-dead and Pan’s immortal. And where was Rumple when all this went down? Well, Pan got the jump on him and trapped him in Pandora’s Box. Oh, also, Pan is actually HIS FATHER. XD His father had exchanged him for eternal youth. At least he named his younger self after Rumple’s doll. I guess that’s sort of a consolation? At one point Pan tried to make Rumple stay in Neverland with him, but wouldn’t that make him an 'adult’ technically? I mean, that’s why he severed ties with him in the first place right? Because having his son with him only makes him remember he’s not a little boy anymore. So his arguments for trying to be a better father are not convincing at all. XD No one here knows how to be a good parent! :))Now they have to save Henry, free Rumple, cure Charming. No biggie. Is this Rumple’s 'undoing?’ Has the prophecy been fulfilled? Does this mean that when they manage to get things back in order his whole dilemma of killing-notkilling his grandson is over? Well, turns out, I have a two-week wait before I find out. -- source link
