5.04 Controlling InterestHeeheehee. Drugged Neal. :3Before that though. WTF. They just backburner-ed the Seigel case. Yes, it’s been weeks for the show’s timeline but what about the viewers? His death is still fresh in my mind. Maybe the fact that I’ve been watching him on Common Law did not help me move on but still. A totally unrelated case? The only consolation to this is seeing Peter and Neal work together again. That and a drugged Neal. When a random dude walked into the White Collar offices confessing a crime, Peter and Neal end up investigating a psychiatrist. It took a five-minute fake ID and Peter being mean to a secretary. Also Neal getting psycho-analyzed, which revealed some truths about him that I don’t think he ever even considered. He got a little squirmy and defensive towards the end there, right before the drugs took effect. When he was in the psychiatrist’s office, he looked like he was hypnotized. He was slow to answer and took his time saying actual words. But when he was on Mozzie’s version of the drug, he was the opposite. He was hyper and talking too fast and could not stop moving. Lol. I think Mozzie mixed up an ingredient or two. He did calm down when Peter started questioning him. The sort of truth serum also prompted Neal to give his friend a harsh wake up call. We rarely see Mozzie rattled like that that he had to leave the room and pull himself together. Come on Teddy Winters, time to rebuild your empire.Neal aaaalmost told Peter about the Hagen thing and his probable involvement in Seigel’s murder. Luckily, Neal had some of his wits left and Mozzie had impeccable timing. Although, he wasn’t in time to spare El of Neal’s true opinions about her meatloaf. lolRight before Neal passed out, he was super fortunate to remember a full phone number that implicated both the psychiatrist and one of her other patients. They turned the tables on her, got the money back, and cleared the name of an innocent man.But all the talk about being a changed man did very little to urge Neal to do the same. In fact, it did the opposite. XD Now more than ever, Neal is leaning towards going back to the con man life. Mozzie needs a little help in rebuilding anyway. Just when Seigel made the astute observation of Neal staying in New York and working with the FBI instead of fleeing. And working so hard to keep himself and Peter out of jail. And proving to Peter that he can be trusted after years of being friends.So. No character development at all after four years? Still the same guy who stole things just ‘because it was there?’ Well, I’d like to think he’s made relationships here. He’s just not used to keeping them. He wouldn’t have risked getting thrown back into jail if he didn’t care about Peter. He does things mostly for himself but now he also does things, sometimes, for Peter. He’s not giving Peter reasons to trust him though. I’ve always complained about Peter and his perpetual suspicion but man, Neal is not helping at all. XDWhen do you think Seigel’s murderer will be revealed? Mid season or season end? I sayyyy… mid season. Also, what are the chances Warren Kole is cast in another USA show? Graceland perhaps? :D I think he’d fit right in there. -- source link
