3.07 Dark HollowThis is how much I loathed the Anti-Magic Group storyline: I did not realize that the Storybrooke newcomers were Michael and John Darling until they uttered the word ‘Wendy.’ Mostly because I was going Ugggggghhhhh, not this agaaaaaaainnnn every time they were on screen that I completely missed the signs: two guys, one wearing glasses, the fact that they had a sister in stuck Neverland. Yeah, that’s right, I did not even realize THEN. It was an OHHHHH moment when the (much younger and original) Wendy came out of that cage. So okay, I’m giving Michael and John a chance here.So after five days with Operation Henry Team in Neverland (whoa, it’s only been five days? It is very difficult to tell what with the perpetual nighttime thing happening in Neverland), we finally go back to Storybrooke to see what had become of Belle and the others left behind. They almost immediately cast the cloaking spell Rumple provided, but not before most of Michael and John’s car made it past the town line. Good thing Rumple made it super easy to cast that spell - all Belle had to do was 'pour a potion on some rocks’ XDA few days later, Ariel showed up, legs and all. Rumple refused to identify the 'magical item’ out loud because Pan might hear so he gave Ariel a seashell to give to Belle. And this is where I rolled my eyes so hard. Because not only did Rumple record some hologram message, he still did not say what or where the object was and insisted that Belle would find it by 'the power of their love’ or some shit like that. Ugh.AND THEN, as it turned out, Chip would lead Belle to the magical item because Rumple enchanted it, as in, made it release a sparkly path to a hatch on the floor once it got back in the cupboard. O_o This confused me even more because I thought Belle smashed Chip when she forgot who she was and obviously it was repaired but I don’t remember/care when it happened. And obviously Rumple was 100% prepared to use this item, Pandora’s Box, because he took the time to give Belle directions before he left for Neverland. And despite all his cryptic messages, Pandora’s Box still managed to fall into the hands of someone not Belle/Ariel. XD Ariel had to release her fins for some reason before they can topple the chair over. Because their combined effort as humans with legs is apparently not enough to do that. They get the Pandora’s Box back, seemingly gained Michael and John as allies, and Ariel delivered the box to Rumple and Regina. Hopefully Regina here held up her end of the deal with the bracelet. I want to see Grandpa Winchester again. lolMeanwhile, Emma, Neal and Hook went out on a search for Pan’s Shadow. Their escape plan involves hitching a ride with a Shadow. How all of them will do that is still unclear to me, but that’s the plan. I chuckled when Hook hurriedly volunteered himself to come with Emma and Neal. No way he’s letting them go off alone, right? XD Emma was still reluctant to choose though. Not even when shadows attacked them in the Dark Hollow. I was all 'oh come on’ when Hook and Neal almost got their souls ripped out (zippo fight) because I GET IT EMMA MUST CHOOSE I AM NOT STUPID. (Neal was screaming for Emma to help him, was Hook too? I couldn’t hear him lol) But Emma chose Regina magic and saved all of their asses by lighting a candle and trapping a shadow in a coconut shell. So, escape plan literally in hand, they meet back up with Snow and Charming at Tink’s. Speaking of the happy couple, Snow made it clear that she is more than willing to stay with him in Nevrland… As in… leave Emma alone again? Nowhere in the conversation was Emma’s name mentioned. Eh, they want to have more babies anyway so I guess that’s okay? These two need to rethink their parenting tactics. They had better hurry up though because Pan just used a pretty girl to convince Henry to power up that Heart of the Truest Believer. Looks like they all have to make their way to Skull Rock/Island to do some rescuing. Seriously, Neverland, no happy places. Puts the whole 'Jolly Roger’ thing in a new perspective doesn’t it? -- source link
