When shopping at Victoria’s Secret, you look around at the underwear and most of them have sayings on it. They seem to be ‘sexualizing’ young girls with their latest underwear range which features thongs with the slogans 'call me’ and 'I dare you’ written across them. Next time you’re there, you should check them out. Some of the sayings ACTUALLY promote sexual acts. Just because these items say something, doesn’t mean it’s what we want, but these provocative statements could be seen as “asking for it”. The company claims they are advertising to girls over the age of 17, but in reality, most consumers are 14 to 21 when it comes to PINK products. Because of this, parents across the country are threatening to boycott the chain. This picture really caught my eye because this is an item that SO many young teens and adolescents buy on a daily basis. This is part of rape culture, this is just another item that eggs it on. -- source link
