Spoken in Anti-Blackish: “I just don’t find Black women attractive.”Translation: My internalized racism (or self hate for Black people with a similar affliction) will not allow me to find a Black woman attractive. My “preference” also varies in intensity depending on the Blackness of the woman in question as well as the Blackness of her features. I have been trained only to find beauty in Eurocentric standards of what are to be societally considered “desirable” women. Moreover, I have been conditioned to not even extend Black people (women) the credit of being actual people and certainly not enough to see them as they are or to entertain the idea that a Black woman can actually be beautiful. I am assisted in perpetuating my ridiculous and ignorant mentality by the media, biased advertisement, destructive racist stereotypes, the effects of Slavery, hyper masculinity, the overall over-sexualization of women as to put them into categories of “hotness” and “would bang” and “wouldn’t bang” subcategories, rape culture, the muting of all things uplifting Black people, colorism, overused images of Black people in bondage, and finally Black men who don’t respect Black women._____________________The whole idea is absurd. Black women are the most magnificent thing created and literally the temple that created all human life. Also, the Black woman holds the genetic makeup of ALL variations in the human genome that we see around the world in all combinations…and we see Black women come in all those combinations. How could anyone deny that Black women are beautiful? -- source link
