Remember this badass tumblr? That’s Apollo, a tragic loss from an animal sanctuary who will go on to teach others about the biology and importance of our big endangered cats for years to come. I did a HELL of a lot of work on him, but sadly it was my boss who had the honors of finishing the face in regards to ear placement and facial expression. That cat’s entire face front and several areas of his paws slipped bare from being improperly thawed for us to skin, but I think given the nature of that disaster the mount is beautiful. With any luck I’ll be right back at this once school is out! I’ll never quit taxidermy. :3 -- source link
