♦️ Loss ♦️A few days after Arro had turned eight, his mother got killed by bandits while the two were crossing the forest.All alone and desperate, the little boy tried to survive by stealing food from merchants. It was just enough for him not to starve. One day he he tried to steal but was caught by the merchant. However, a minstrel and jester who often entertained people in the city intervened and protected Arro from being beaten. The man’s name was Arnulf von Spey and he felt sorry for the little boy and offered him to come with him in exchange for him helping him with his work.❤️Arro agreed and soon discovered a father figure in the smart jester. Over the years, Arnulf taught Arro all of his tricks and how he could easily trick and fool people. Arro learned fast and soon became very good with various tricks. Sometimes he also performed together with Arnulf. Arro lived and travelled with Arnulf for six years and if he had ever called someone ‘father’, it would have been him. Tragically Arnulf got into a fight with a bunch of drunkards in a tavern one night and was stabbed by one of them in front of Arro’s eyes.Next to his mother’s death, this scene is the one that still haunts him to this day in his sleep …Arnulf was one of the most important people in his life.
