linusthecorgi: A friend’s corgi, Mittens, is going to cross the rainbow bridge today shortly after 4pm PST. I’ve seen pictures of Mits every day for the past year, and while I’ve only met her once, I feel like she’s a dog I really know. Going through the later stages of her life (with DM) through pictures on her dad’s Facebook page, I know that she’s had the very best possible care that anyone could ask for, and so much love from her family. Logically, I know that dogs don’t live forever, but I’ve felt very emotional the past 48 hours after it was announced that Mits wasn’t doing well, and it is her time. The outpouring of support from the greater corgi community has been really incredible, and I can only imagine that it helps Mits’ family to feel embraced and supported, to know they are not the only ones mourning their beloved girl. We will be observing a moment of silence shortly after 4pm in honor of Mits. If you get the chance, hope you will join us. Mitts is such a sweet girl. Thinking of her and her humans on this difficult day. -- source link
