If she raised her voice, or let her hand move above chest level, she would’ve immediately been dismissed as an “angry black woman” who needs to “control herself” while her accurate rebuttal would’ve been thrown out the window. Notice how her neutral pose is her hands in her lap. When she speaks about oppression, she taps her hand on the table laying out her points then back to neutral.
