Esta obra es parte de la muestra Francis Alÿs. Relato de una Negociación.Alÿs intervened MALBA´s collection cutting a painting in two in order to suggest the relation between painting and action. While the original canvas referred to the tropical imaginery of the Americas produced by European travelling painters, the action evokes Lucio Fontana´s attack of the painting surface.
