Hostas in My Garden, Fairfax, 202.I have rarely encountered a garden plant which arouses such hostility (pun intended). I have several relatives who detest hostas, and one went so far as to include a demand on a purchase agreement that all the hostas in the well-designed and maintained garden be pulled out before the sale. I am fairly indifferent to these in a corner of our property cursed by lack of direct sunlight. They put on a good, if brief show, and by the first frost of autumn, the plant has rotted to the ground only to reappear the next year. -- source link
