I don’t get why everyone hates Chara/calls them the bad guy. They’re a child who had a bad childhood, from clues in the game we can assume they were a self-harmer along with several other things. Chara isn’t responsible for the genocide route, the only difference between the routes is the player’s choice. Check out “Judgement Boy” on YouTube for a more detailed explanation. -- source link
