Poppy and I went out to the first ever Nashville TN Toss n Fetch League (link if anyone is local and might be interested) meet up!For those who don’t know, Poppy can be skittish in new environments especially with a lot of noise. We’ve also had to go back to our foundations when it comes to frisbee because she’d smack them out of the air with her muzzle instead of catching them. Well our first round (out of two) Poppy ran out in the field having a blast before we even started. Our practice roll, I threw a roller which she brought back. Her first actual throw, she caught it! Several other times, I messed up by throwing too low or too early, but she did great with the minimal training for frisbee she’s had.In League you can throw up to 40+ yards away to score 1-5 points each catch (plus a bonus for catching while jumping). Under 10 yards you get 0 points. We didn’t get any throws over 10 yards, but I need to learn to throw better and it work on her distance work (she stays WAY too close lol) -- source link
