so…Suhaib’s character officially ended in Diyar-e-Dil and god! I have all these feels and emotions which are basically just me bawling my eyes out because I LOVED this guy since episode one! Ali Rehman totally won me over with his earnest portrayal of the sensitive, family oriented, carefree Suhaib who matured because of the most drastic of situations. Seriously, I have so much love for this guy because we do not get characters like him on TV normally. He had his own flaws but even those flaws made him such a spectacular human. The love he had for his brother and father, how he lived his life being torn apart because of the stubbornness of the two most precious relationships in life. How he died before seeing his dream of having the family united again become a reality. I just can’t…the entire DeD fandom is crying at this episode and for all the right reasons. Suhaib Bakhtyar Khan is someone who comes so rarely in the world of fiction. He lived a life putting others above and before him and even in the end his last question was, “tum mujhse khush tou hona?” His obedience put tremors within the ego of Bakhytar Khan, the longing he had for his brother rendered Behroze restless for days. Just him not being in this world anymore has visibly shaken all the characters and will of course set the course of the events to follow. DeD is fantastic, really, but fact remains that Suhaib’s death and Ali Rehman’s departure from the show has created a void in the soul of the show. He was the most beloved and cherished character, and no one can deny the superb performances Ali Rehman gave back-to-back in these nine weeks. Aaah…you both shall be missed dearly. -- source link
