I had posted a photo similar to this one back in February (shown below). I thought it worth showing the difference between a non-treated photo and running a few basic coloring changes in Lightroom. All I did was run an automatic light adjustment on the photo, then bring up the shadow levels slightly on the dark portions of the trees, and then slightly tweak the dark levels off of the bricks on the right side of the photo. I recast the sky with a slightly bluer tone and amped up the greens as well. I think it looks much brighter now. If only I’d thought to buy a polarizing filter before I left. I have one NOW, but… now I know better. -- source link
