It is pretty clear that some BBC producers consider televised abuse of marginalised groups (like trans sex workers) to be a ratings win. They peddle bias and extremist hate as entertainment. This is evil. This was the show I was asked to be on. They asked a trans sex worker specifically and I was not told that I’d be facing off against one of the nastiest TERFs. So, they book one of the biggest nastiest names in TERF politics and pick a trans person to debate her, on purpose I might add, because I happen to know they asked another trans person to be on. If it was about porn there’s people far more qualified to talk than I am, I’m a small queer performer / producer with a niche, but it’s a niche they know SJ would rip into. This was a set up to attack trans sex workers. We need to make it widely known that they tried this.Think about this “debate”, where one side is a well funded team with a platform and a book to sell (who are trying to pack the audience with their followers) while the other is someone picked from the list of sex workers (who happen to have been in a documentary before) and aren’t even told who will be debating against them (and are picked because Jeffreys has a history of extremist hate against their identity). This is a scam being perpetrated against the public to further puritanical religious extremism. -- source link
