dcsart: hauntedcosmospress: DarkChibiShadow (DCS) First off, who are you as an artist and person? Hey, I’m DCS! I’m a queer gender conflicted artist who loves making queer erotica, comics, and games! Making stuff just feels good, and it feels especially good when that stuff is gay. What’s your story about and why did you want to tell it? I wanted to take that idea of found family and take a small slice of it– a sliver of a moment! Two different people come together to help support each other after losing a friend, creating their own safe space in each other, doing whatever they need to to protect what’s important– it feels very gay culture to me. What are some of your personal favorite water themed stories? (Did they have a hand in inspiring your own story?) When I was a kid, I had these books that I won’t mention the name of here but– they were filled with all sorts of creatures and had all types of themes. The one that stood out the most for me was the one about “water spirits” and it had a beautiful mermaid on the front. The stories inside were very dark, and were accompanied by even more beautiful mermaids, kelpies, and nymphs! It left a deep impression on me (all of the books did) and I think it’s what got me into monster people in the first place – especially aquatic ones. Lastly, what brought you to the Cosmos and what made you want to get involved with Strange Waters? I happened upon the zine application thru one of the few blogs I follow that shares those sorts of things. Just the basic idea was enough to get me intrigued and my story popped into my head instantly! Interested in reading DCS’s comic? Support STRANGE WATERS on Kickstarter! Here’s me! -- source link
