sheltiechicago: TECLA, a home from the earth for the Earth built in 3D Nowadays even architecture has to come to terms with climate change, which is one of the main culprits, but also with the pressing need to continue building. For this reason, MC A – Mario Cucinella Architects, the company WASP – World’s Advanced Saving Project and SOS – School of Sustainability, have created TECLA, the first eco-sustainable house printed in 3D with raw earth. TECLA was in fact built using one material and one material only: raw earth. Two printing arms managed by a software, which has optimized the movements, avoiding collisions have conducted the entire construction process. -- source link
