krusca:snarkvenger:filmsexmusic:rdjinspiringlybeautiful:Total unpopular opinion but:Way to support your man, Pepper. Walk out on him when he’s in the middle of a ptsd attack. ……Yeah, that’ll show him how much you love him.**I 10000000% agree with this. Bitch move of her to be all “i’m leaving. Tinker with THAT”. He calmly asked you, I believe even said PLEASE “don’t go”. I’d never leave.THIS SO HARD. I understand that it’s hard for Pepper. I understand why she would want to walk out of the room. She just got attacked, she was panicked and freaked out. But the whole reason the armor was there in the first place was that Tony had a nightmare so intense HE CALLED IT IN HIS SLEEP. And the first thing he did when he woke up was power down the suit to protect Pepper. Then he’s begging her not to leave, that what just happened wasn’t supposed to happen, that he would fix it, and she just walks away from him with a snarky “tinker with that”? Bad move, Pep. You’re just going to leave him alone after what just happened? She didn’t even bother to ask if he was alright. He needed somebody to be there for him and she walked away. I love the movie, but this part really got to me. Like, it makes me angry and it also breaks my heart. I mean, look at him. He looks so alone and so fucking upset, I just want to reach through the screen and hug him forever and let him scream or cry or do whatever he’s gotta do, you know? This movie gave me so many feelings can you tell omfg. People have commented paragraphs on this, some of them who suffer from ptsd. I’ve read them, and I honestly can’t fault pepper for being angry/putting her own physical safety first. She did good leaving the room. However I wasn’t happy by how to treated tony while leaving the room. I felt like she was unjustifiably angry at tony for something he had no control over. And I think that’s how real people might handle delicate subjects like this. Sometimes we don’t understand fully what the other person is going through, and since Pepper does have a lot on her plate aka RUN A GIANT COMPANY she’s stressed out on her part and didn’t handle the situation as well as she could have. I didn’t like the fact that she left tony when he begged her to stay, but I appreciate the fact that the writers made Pepper a real person with flaws who also looked out for her own well-being.People need to protect themselves too. Being loving and supporting isn’t about forgetting all your own needs. Pepper was terrified and had been spending months trying to get through to a man who prefers to either self medicate or ignore his own issues. It’s not so simple to find the right way to take care of a person. She’s not going to be any help to them if they both don’t take care of themselves. -- source link
