A day the sanctuary horses were running free across the fields. There is something deeply spiritual for me in this experience. While it is wonderful to see them in good care, I must say that it is tragic that they need rescuing; they are forcibly removed from their homes because the Bureau of Land Management allows cattle grazing on our public lands, separating families of horses, imprisoning them, and injuring them in the process. I pray for a world in which we consider the ethics of our actions in regards to other life forms. Consider how much your taste buds impact a horse, even when you don’t choose to eat a horse…because if you eat cattle, your money goes to support this mistreatment of horses, cougars, bears, wolves, sage grouse, coyotes, bison, and others - and that doesn’t even measure the horrors that the cattle ultimate endure. Please think about it, and consider more humane and healthy alternatives for you, the animals, and the planet. -- source link
