Yes!! I also generally go with Lestat being the more reliable narrator, because Lestat tells all. He tells us everything he wants or loathes or hopes for or fears even if it’s so lame or embarrassing or foolish that it makes the reader (meee) second-hand embarrassed. Why would he tell us intimate thoughts and happenings that would make him look bad if his goal were to make himself seem like the good guy?? Meanwhile, EVERYTHING Louis tells us has an agenda: make us feel bad for Louis. Also, make us mad at Lestat for being so mean to poor sensitive Louis. So I guess, when presented with one narrator who tells the entire story as if he is never in the wrong and the victim of every wrong-doing by someone else, and another narrator who says “yeah I mean I fucked up but that’s the way it happened,” I’m gonna believe the latter because they don’t really seem to have an agenda beyond telling you what went down. -- source link
