sonochinosodomy:trans-mom:yamipirogoeth:pakitranny:thecybersmith:thattallnerdybean:[clutches my pearls] Trans people in 1921?!??! But I thought trans people were trend of today’s youth! The ascent and decline of civilisations follow a cyclical pattern. As it slid into ruin, Ancient Rome saw a similar phenomenon.Look at where and when this image was captured. The Weimar Republic, which descended into deviancy and hyperinflation, then finally gave way to the something almost unspeakably terrible. This is a warning sign. The canary in the cole-mine.Please don’t misunderstand me.I’m not saying that transgender people are evil.Nonetheless, they are heralds of woe.tfw herald of woe @trans-mom I’d love to hear your thoughts on this “heralds of woe” thingI mean, it’s a proven fact trans people (blah blah blah academics shouldn’t retroactively apply modern labels) have literally always existed, so the “heralds of woe” thing is accurate so long as you use it to, ya know, represent humans in general. @thecybersmith is wrong about everything, why start questioning now? That building was made specifically for the use of trans people and their doctors in the 1920′s, and when Nazi German army’s rose into power, the building was one of the first things to be attacked and the books and data within destroyed. If anything, this image shows that not trans people, but Nazi’s are the heralds of woe, and we should probably stomp all of them out before we have another tragedy like the destruction of that building and the scores of data within. Before the Nazi book burnings, this building is where many doctors actually studied and performed ‘modern’ gender affirming surgeries. Trans people were on staff as well as being clients. Also, side note, the ancient Roman example earlier wasn’t the first known case of trans people in Rome but one of the first documented cases of trans people in power in Rome. Elagabus wasn’t a good emperor of Rome by the standards we hold today, but her fall from grace was due to her guard at the time being disgusted with her actions, not so much her gender. This was seen in history prior, as Nero also took husbands and was assassinated due to his actions.Correlation does not equal causation, and @thecybersmith would do well to stop being so transphobic and actually listen to trans scholars when they talk. -- source link
