¿Idolos? Copán, Honduras, 2002.Like most Mayan archaeological sites, Copán is fascinating and unknowable, at least to me. I think these figures are ideograms, elements of the written language and survivors of an inscription on a structure rather than idols or gargoyles per se, but that remains for an expert to determine. -- source link
