Cassie reached for the door handle as her father’s car beeped and unlocked.  "Happy birthday again Lizzy!“ she yelled back over her shoulder, ”… it was an awesome party.“ She paused for a second as Liz waved and then turned to go back into her house.  Liz’s father stared out the front window at her. Cassie smiled back quickly, trying not to let anyone else who might have been looking realize, and slipped the key into the waist band of her shorts, still wrapped in the note he had written with a time and hotel room number on it. -- source link
