sarlyneart:ASOIAF - Stannis/Davos “They kiss one time only. Davos has returned, the Others are defeated, and the Wall still stands. Stannis feels tired and exhausted and retreats to his chambers to rest, what he hasn’t done properly in weeks - he crosses Davos’ path on his way. His sword falls on the floor with a loud clonk, and Stannis pulls his knight roughly against his clothes, pressing their lips together without hesitation. Stannis’ lips are rough and chapped from the cold, and he is obviously not very experienced, but it’s still a good kiss, it feels natural. Not gentle, but not angry, either. Davos doesn’t object, even though it comes as a surprise. Footsteps come down the hallway, but Stannis doesn’t let go and presses Davos only harder against the wall, one hand in his hair. Then, suddenly, he pulls away, all strength leaving his body and he waits until his breath has calmed down again before he looks at Davos again and nods as if to say ‘welcome back’. Then Stannis just leaves, without a word.
