weareallmixedup:mixedkidsclub:friendlyneighborhoodblackgirl:Hopefully it’s readable, but here’s the sun safety for people of color flyer I made at work.If you can’t read it let me know and I’ll just type out everything it says in another post. This is real y’all. Once my white family forgot to put sunscreen on my little sister cuz she’s less pale than the rest of us, and her nose was peeling for days. Protect yourself before you wreck yourself.Yup no one thought I could burn until I started peeling.—JasmineThis might be relevant to some of you. I’m a pretty dark half Chinese person, and it takes quite a bit of sun exposure for me to burn, but I have, and the older I get (i.e., the more sun exposure I’ve had), the more I burn. I used to be pleased that I bronze rather than burn, but now I even sunscreen when I go out for a quick 20 minute jog. -- source link
