Hand made Filipino rifle,Made shortly after the Spanish American War, this rifle was hand made by Filipinos who resisted the American occupation of the islands.  Without access to modern weapons and ammunition, the Filipino’s, especially tribal natives had to resort to building their own firearms.  This rifle in particular is actually a musket.  It lacked rifling and was loaded from the muzzle.  Firing it was accomplished by holding a match or ember to a touch hole which ignited the gunpowder in the barrel. -- source link
