I know it’s been a rough day for political news, but please remember: While our heart is what lets them hurt us, it is also what gives us the strength to keep striving. During tough times like this, I feel it’s very important to remember this. For a long time I was afraid so I tried to just stop feeling anything cause I thought life would be easier that way. But I just learnt life is meaningless like that. The good times are only good when there’s worse times for them to contrast. No matter how badly your emotions hurt you, whether it be on political news, relationship issues, or just stuck in a shitty place, remember that your only way forward is to listen to your feelings.
