Here’s my idea for what Suiseiseki and Souseiseki would look like if they had not been separate characters. Worked off the idea of if Rozen had not made two dolls but one. Click the read more for all the consideration I put into this.I’ve thought about this for years so I had some time to work this out. Yes, it’s been done before but I never saw something that aimed for a medium between them and tried mixing parts of the outfits into each other. From the beginning I knew it would be a blue-green primary color. It was the first thing decided.Since they both wear a black corset/vest, white fabric that hangs on the shoulders (what on earth is this thing even called), same shoes, white tights (socks?), and a white blouse (that has differently shaped sleeves though) this would not be changed and kept the way it is.I have the sleeves of the blouse Souseiseki’s shape and Suiseiseki’s lace as trim (instead of the folds Souseiseki has). Probably could have worked this better in hindsight. The top of the outfit, I’ll admit, is more “put on top of” than I was aiming for.The bottom was inspired by this beautiful piece of modern fashion. It’s pants and a dress in one! I went for a skirt-style to it though and made it kinda fold at the knees like how Souseiseki’s pants end. Also, I added a piece of fabric to the top to keep the 3-layer-style Suiseiseki has (i’m counting the knee crease as the second layer). The ends of all the blue-green fabric are fringed in the same style as Suiseiseki’s clothing.Suiseiseki and Souseiseki have complete heterochromia so I opted for sectoral heterochromia with green on top (often in the shade, green is a cool color) and red on bottom (often in the light, red is a warm color). Thinking back on it I could have done central heterochromia (green with a ring of red) for a style not quite so unusual. They have the same hair color already so naturally this means brown hair (though in the manga it tends to fluctuate anywhere between orange and red). It’s a mix of their natural styles with the bangs being symmetrical and not asymmetrical. The back is Suiseiseki’s but shorter and the sidetails a longer version of Souseiseki’s. I think I should have reversed this in hindsight too though.Every Rozen Maiden has a head accessory. This is an unquestionable fact and mixing Suiseiseki and Souseiseki’s together was difficult. Now, Suiseiseki’s is thin and hangs down and Souseiseki’s thick and upward. I opted for a hat that was thin and hung down, a sunhat. It’s a hat (like Sou’s) already associated with gardening so that was a bonus. There’s a ribbon (like Sui’s) tried around it. Since their head accessories are literally black and white I opted for a grey overlay on this one.Name: [probably the name of a blue-green semi-precious gem followed by - Stone(seki), trust me I had no ideas on this because i’m not sure how their names even translate as “Jade Stone” and “Lapis Lazuli Stone” in the first place]Weapon: I have no idea how to mix gardening shears and a watering can. Maybe like a sprinkler with a hose attached that can be used as a flail or something. -- source link
