barbucomedie:Etruscan Helmet from Italy dated to the 5th Century BCE on display at the National Archaeological Museum in VeniceThis was part of the Ligabue Collection in Venice and it is not known where exactly it was discovered. The helmet type was common in Central Italy and in all the areas subject to Etruscan political and economic influence; it is thought to have been worn by the elite corps of mounted soldiers of the Adriatic Veneti. The Etruscan styles of armour and fashion heavily influenced the Adriatic Veneti along with the neighbouring Celtic nations.Photographs taken by myself -- source link
