I did a quick set up of this in Kansas City before I moved. The violin sounds pretty good, but you can’t really judge the tone of a new violin without it having been played in, adjusted to the string tension, etc. I’m going to be spending more time trying to get the texture of this varnish right. I did some polishing work on it, but it needs more. I moved to Raleigh North Carolina to work for a well known restoration shop called Triangle strings. I’m digging it, just doing a ton of set ups for now which is what I need. If anyone of my followers live in the Raleigh area hit me up. -- source link
