Harvested several pounds of fava beans from the community garden. These tasty and nutritious little gems come individually suspended in a soft cottony sheath which takes some doing in terms of prep – shelling, blanching, peeling – but it’s worth it, you just have to get into that meditative groove. I made an improvised succotash-type blend with scallion, carrot, corn, zucchini, red pepper flakes and black pepper for some heat, a splash of white wine to bring it together, served with white rice. -- source link
