Each week this Pride Month we’ll be highlighting two artists working within one of Nobody Promised You Tomorrow’s four interconnected themes: revolt, commemoration, care, and desire. This week we continue with HERITAGE, where you’ll find works that honor activist forebears, community members, and friends, from distant past to recent history. Because of their radical politics or expressions of identity, the role and importance of individuals and collectives from the early years of the queer liberation movement have been minimized. Some of these works grapple with that erasure and all together they forge an expansive intergenerational lineage of queer and trans culture. Posted by Rachel Lewis -- source link
