greg-pak: I’m challenging myself to sketch something every week this coming year. ‘Cause it’s fun and ‘cause I think I’ll learn something.  I started with Atomic Robo, created by Brian Clevinger and Scott Wegener, because I love the book and robots are easy to draw. What did I learn? Atomic Robo has great character design. The lines running down from the eyes hint at tear-tracks and, probably on a subliminal level, help make the character sympathetic. And I love the way Wegener uses the eye lens caps for emotion/attitude/expression. I took a shot at evoking an emotion in the images above — can you guess what it is? -- source link
