Fincher Moments in Oakley Shades: Tribeca Exclusive Interview, 2014In a Tribeca Film exclusive with David Fincher, the Gone Girl director goes in-depth with how he brought the character of Amy Dunne to life and the importance of perspective when creating a thriller; in style of course! He lit up the room with vintage, wearing a pear of Oakley Over the Top shades that were prevalent in the 90′s. We asked him about the choice of eyewear and he responded saying, “I simply felt nostalgic today, [smirks] isn’t it lovely?” Fincher, being no stranger to these frames, used to wear these to the set of Alien 3 every day, saying they made him feel poised in what he described as a “superfluously tense environment”. “In a predicament as profound as that one, I needed something to be my distraction and my saving grace, and I have to say, it was one that made me look very good”, the director included. -- source link
